Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, directed by Adam Wingard, is an upcoming American monster film. It is a sequel to the 2021 film Godzilla vs. Kong and the seventh installment in the MonsterVerse, produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. This movie marks the 38th film in the Godzilla franchise, the 13th in the King Kong franchise, and the fifth Godzilla film entirely produced by an American studio.

The cast includes Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen, with Hall, Henry, and Hottle reprising their roles from the previous installment. In the storyline, Godzilla and Kong join forces to confront a previously unknown threat jeopardizing both the Hollow Earth and the surface.

Following the success of Godzilla vs. Kong in both box office and streaming during the COVID-19 pandemic, Legendary announced the sequel in March 2022, with filming set to begin later in the year. In May 2022, it was confirmed that Adam Wingard would return as the director, and Dan Stevens joined the cast in a leading role. Filming took place from July to November 2022 in Gold Coast, Queensland.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is set to be released in the United States on March 29, 2024.
